Professor Ran Jin is a faculty member in the Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech and has served as Director of the Laboratory of Data Science and Visualization since September 2015.
Research interests
Data analytics in advanced manufacturing and Industrial Internet, including modeling, monitoring and control in manufacturing design, processes and networks; cyber additive manufacturing; fog computing and computation services in manufacturing; and human-machine collaboration with cognitive-based adaptive visualization.
